10.25.15

10.19.15  This afternoon at Choice, I made a picture of a dog. It had long brown ears and a black nose. I also made a blue cootie catcher, but I haven't finished it,” dictated Somanna.
10.22.15  “Today, I drew some hearts and flowers,” said Xochitl.
10.23.15  Today, I did courses. I did holiday crafts. We are making a haunted house for Halloween,” reported Zuki.
Oh my goodness! Last week was so intense with the field trip, school pictures, and two emergency drills in one day!
This upcoming week promises more adventure. Teacher Michelle will out on Wednesday AND Friday. Julie and Anita will be in the classroom on Wednesday and Friday, respectively. On Tuesday and Thursday, the Sea Class will participate in community building with our buddy classes during the Theme time, and on Friday morning when Anita is with the class, the whole school will do its traditional Halloween parade, Earth songs, and Monster Mash.
We haven’t been taking many pictures for the blog lately; it seems that every moment has been super packed for me, and I haven’t even had time to snap a few photos!
I am looking forward meeting with the adult family members November 20-24 for our Family-Teacher Conferences. There is a sign up sheet outside the classroom door, or you can call, text, or email me with the time slot you want. First come, first served! Claudia Coto, our School Community Coordinator will translate for these meetings, and usually does not work on Mondays, so if a Spanish translator is requested, we should try for a Friday or Tuesday conference time.
