“In Mulit-Age Math, I made a book about other things you can
make with black dots. I made one flower, two people, three coffee cups, and four wheels. It
was fun and I hope I get to do it again!” said Jasper.
To date, 13 Sea Class students have made their summer
activity presentations, and they are adorable! It is so fun to watch how each
family has found its own way in taking the children’s memories and the
experiences they value, and preparing a presentation that is crafted,
rehearsed, and even sometimes, interactive! This week, we look forward to
presentations from LP, JD, SH, and MB. If your child hasn’t presented yet,
please send me a date as soon as you can so our schedule doesn’t fill up with
other fun things!
incluso a veces, interactivo! Esta semana, esperamos presentaciones de LP, JD,
SH, y MB.
Speaking of other fun things, we begin Family In Class
Participation, our thematic study of Immigration, Communication Workshop AND
Math Workshop this week! We are looking forward to welcoming more adults into
the classroom, demonstrating how we’ve been practicing building and nurturing a
community, while taking academic and social risks in a classroom with growing
trust and acceptance.
Hablando de otras
cosas divertidas, comenzamos Familia En Participación Clase, nuestro estudio
We had a really terrific first all-school field trip to Dela
Veaga Park on Friday; I was so busy telling and listening to stories, sketching
the creek, and climbing on the play structure, that I didn’t take any photos!
So here’s a picture of the Sea Class at its first day of Library with Jolene,
and lesson plans for the upcoming week. Enjoy reading!
Tuvimos una muy
excelente excursión primero de toda la escuela a Dela Veaga Parque el viernes;
¡Disfruta leyendo!
